Psalm 55:21-23
21The words of his mouth were smoother than butter,
but war was in his heart:
his words were softer than oil,
yet were they drawn swords.
22Cast thy burden upon the LORD,
and he shall sustain thee:
he shall never suffer
the righteous to be moved.
23But thou, O God, shalt bring them down
into the pit of destruction:
bloody and deceitful men
shall not live out half their days;
but I will trust in thee.
Let's continue where we left off yesterday in Psalm 55. Outlines the betrayal by a good friend - or I should say, a seemingly good friend. Yesterday I discussed how addiction plays the role of betraying friend - and so I just want to close up this discussion.
The words of our addiction seem smoother than butter - but war is in its heart. Cast thy burden on the Lord, instead of a disloyal friend, and the Lord shall sustain the addict. God will help you fight your addiction. All you need to do is ask...in prayer. Ask and you will be saved. I will trust in the Lord.
Thanks for letting me share.
